Public Transportation Research

Home Public Transportation Research

SABRI has been conducting research into supporting improvements to public transportation in our Northern and rural region.

A partnership has been established working with the Community Advisory Council of Labrador Grenfell Health to access a bus owned by the Health Authority to find a mechanism to increase access and public use.

A hackathon was hosted by SABRI and Experience Ventures of Memorial University, with 6 teams participating in October presenting ideas solving the issue of Better Public Rural Transport.

SABRI’s Community Development Coordinator is working with a researcher to pursue applications for funding to explore rural transit solutions for our region.
